I have committed my life to two things, my family and helping women lose weight through exercise and healthy eating habits. I started my journey after gaining 150 pounds over the course of five years, giving birth to my three wonderful children. One of my favorite things about living a healthy lifestyle is that opportunities to get fit are everywhere. Recently I shared with one of my clients that little changes in your life can make a big difference. If the idea is to get more active, do just that in every day places and situations. For instance, going to the grocery store can provide you with an opportunity to burn calories. Put on your walking shoes, take one of the farthest parking spots available and walk briskly to the store. Do this on the way out with a loaded cart and you’ll burn even more. Also, take the stairs when you can whether you’re in the office or at the mall. Going up and down the stairs will give your leg muscles a boost and you’ll feel great! |
