Sam Jones

Few people know more about growing citrus than Sam Jones, our Senior Manager of Domestic Citrus Operations. A fourth generation citrus grower, he inherited his family’s passion for fresh produce and made it his mission to learn the ins and outs of the business at an early age.

Driven by a perpetual desire to gain a deeper understanding of the industry, Sam enrolled at Florida Southern College, where he received a B.S. in Business and a Minor in Citrus Management. Following graduation, he went on to work in nearly every aspect of the produce business, from marketing and sales to customer development and grower relations.

Ten years ago, Sam joined the Duda Fresh family, where he has used his extensive industry background as a steppingstone to various opportunities within our company. Sam has a hand in many different elements of our business, and his passion for both our produce and the success and profitability of our company is apparent in everything he touches. To him, this job is about more than just the numbers; it’s about making a difference for employees, growers, and consumers.

Sam is instrumental in making sure we’re providing fresh and flavorful homegrown-like products at affordable prices for our consumers. He loves to contribute to the industry where he can, and in addition to blogging for Dandy Digest, serves on boards and committees that help direct and guide the industry as a whole. One of Sam’s favorite things to do is check out different stores’ produce departments for new ideas and ways to make our products stand out.

Apart from following the agricultural industry and studying weather patterns, Sam enjoys spending his free time reading, traveling, hanging out at the beach with friends and family, and attending church.
