What You Need

Beef and Broccoli Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, cut into thinly sliced bite-sized strips
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 1 head Dandy® broccoli, cut into florets and blanched
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds (optional garnish)
  • Cooked rice or cauliflower rice, for serving

Stir Fry Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Make It

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, black pepper, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet over high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of oil until the pan is hot (oil should shimmer). Add the beef strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until the meat is just about cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Add the stir-fry sauce, reduce heat to medium/low, and simmer for 3-4 minutes. It will thicken. Add blanched broccoli and stir to combine.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and continue to cook until the beef is cooked through, and the sauce has reduced slightly, about 3 minutes.
  5. Take the skillet off the heat and serve immediately over rice. Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
