What You Need

  • 1 1/2 cups shelled peas (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 cup chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons tahini paste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1-3 tablespoons water, as needed

Make It

  1. In your food processor fitted with the blade attachment, pulse together the peas, chickpeas, garlic, mint, olive oil, tahini paste, lemon juice and salt until mostly combined. Stop to scrap down the sides of the bowl. Then with your food processor running, add one tablespoon of water at a time and continue processing until the hummus is smooth and at your desired consistency. Taste and add more salt, if needed.
  2. Transfer the humus to a clean bowl. Serve with Dandy Celery Dippers, pita chips, and any of your other favorite snacks.
